Bahrain revokes citizenship of people accused of backing Iran

RIYADH, April 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Bahrain revoked the citizenship of people accused of expressing sympathy for and praising Iran’s actions during the recent conflict, the interior ministry said.
The ministry said the measure also applied to the families of those accused.
Bahrain was among several countries in the region that restricted information about Iranian strikes during the war and arrested residents and foreigners accused of filming them.
Authorities also detained protesters and people accused of filming demonstrations, bringing charges including misuse of social media, incitement of hatred and treason.
