Bahrain Condemns Houthi Threats Against Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms Full Solidarity

MANAMA, July 21, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — Bahrain condemned threats issued by the military spokesperson of Yemen’s Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, describing them as an irresponsible escalation that undermines regional security and stability.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the threats included allegations and incitement that posed a serious risk to maritime navigation, international trade and civilians.
The ministry said the statements constituted a violation of international law, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Bahrain reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing that the Kingdom’s security was an integral part of Bahrain’s own security.
It also expressed full support for the legitimate measures taken by Saudi Arabia to protect its sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity.
The ministry called for coordinated international action to protect maritime security in the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb and other vital waterways, safeguarding energy supplies and global trade flows.
Bahrain also renewed its appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s diplomatic, humanitarian and development efforts to secure a comprehensive and lasting political solution to the conflict in Yemen.
It said those efforts were based on the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and its Implementation Mechanism, the outcomes of Yemen’s National Dialogue Conference and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216.
The ministry said a political settlement should preserve Yemen’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity while supporting the Yemeni people’s aspirations for security, stability and sustainable prosperity.
