Abu Dhabi non-oil trade rises 36% in 2025 as exports jump

ABU DHABI, April 29 — Abu Dhabi’s non-oil foreign trade rose 36% in 2025 to more than AED415.4 billion, according to figures released by Abu Dhabi Customs, with exports posting the strongest growth.

Non-oil exports increased 63% to AED175.4 billion, up from AED107.8 billion in 2024. Imports rose 22% to AED170.4 billion, while re-exports increased 20% to AED70 billion.

The results point to continued diversification in the emirate’s economy and stronger integration with global trade flows, supported by logistics capacity and customs efficiency.

Abu Dhabi Customs said trade moved across all major transport channels, with land accounting for 35% of total non-oil trade, air 33.5%, and sea 31.5%.

Officials said the performance reflected stronger infrastructure, improved trade facilitation and continued efforts to streamline customs operations through digital systems and smart technologies.
