The designer introduced a more relaxed vision of eveningwear and ready-to-wear, balancing his signature embellishment with cleaner lines, softer colours and more versatile pieces.

Zuhair Murad approached the season with a softer and more relaxed interpretation of his glamour codes, presenting a collection shaped by the movement of sea waves and a growing demand for understated luxury.

The designer replaced heavily structured eveningwear with fluid jersey dresses, airy chiffon, sculptural draping and tailored separates, creating a lighter wardrobe that still carried the house’s polished identity.

Murad’s signature beadwork remained present, but with a more restrained approach. Clean-cut gabardine gowns, streamlined jacquards and monochromatic looks reflected the simpler styles increasingly requested by clients seeking pieces that can move beyond single-occasion dressing.

According to Murad, customers are showing greater interest in daytime options, understated designs and versatile silhouettes that can be styled in different ways.

The shift was especially visible in the house’s expanding ready-to-wear offer, where pared-back shapes were designed to be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

The season’s palette drew from the sea, with seafoam greens, blush neutrals, deep blues and sandy metallics forming the core of the collection. Brighter shades appeared in selected pieces, maintaining a connection with clients who continue to favour stronger colour statements.

The collection also reflected the different preferences of Murad’s key markets. Middle Eastern clients remain drawn to vivid colours and intricately beaded eveningwear, while North American customers are increasingly choosing cleaner and less embellished designs.

Rather than choosing one direction, Murad allowed both aesthetics to coexist, creating a broad collection that responds to regional tastes while maintaining a unified brand language.

Those preferences are also shaping the house’s merchandising strategy and its accessories expansion. Resort introduced three new clutch silhouettes, developed in response to client requests for handbags designed to complement evening dresses.

The accessories offer also continues to grow through belts and footwear, strengthening the house’s broader lifestyle direction.

Murad is also preparing to open a new Paris flagship later this year, with an official inauguration expected around the January couture shows.
