Zelenskiy Backs Ceasefire and Three-Way Talks with Trump and Putin

KYIV, October 21 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy backed a ceasefire and direct talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying a pause in fighting should lead to diplomacy and an agreement with security guarantees.
In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, Zelenskiy said Ukraine was ready to negotiate and hoped U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff’s meeting with Putin would produce a positive result.
Zelenskiy described his own talks with Witkoff in Oslo a day earlier as productive. He praised Trump’s call for a ceasefire and said European countries should ideally also participate in negotiations.
“I just ask: but don’t speak about us without us, please,” he said.
Zelenskiy thanked the United States for restoring intelligence sharing but said restrictions on Starlink and Starshield satellite services remained unresolved.
He said U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio had promised to work on the issues affecting Starshield, a military version of Starlink developed for the Pentagon.
The Wall Street Journal reported a day earlier that SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk had ordered a slowdown of the technology, which Ukraine uses to defend against Russian missile attacks.
Rubio told reporters on Wednesday that decisions on Ukraine’s access to Starlink rested with SpaceX and Musk rather than the White House.
