WTA Finals Riyadh: Gauff, Sabalenka Secure Wins as Tournament Enters Fifth Day

RIYADH, November 5 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The WTA Finals Riyadh continued on Tuesday at King Saud University, marking the second consecutive year the Kingdom has hosted the elite women’s tennis event. Organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport and sponsored by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the tournament drew strong attendance and high-level competition on its fourth day.


In the Stefanie Graf Group, defending champion Coco Gauff defeated Italy’s Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, while world number one Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus won a three-set battle against American Jessica Pegula.


In the Liezel Huber Group doubles matches, Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic and Taylor Townsend of the United States earned a straight-sets victory over Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealander Erin Routliffe. Brazil’s Luisa Stefani and Hungary’s Timea Babos later defeated Russia’s Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider in three sets.


The tournament resumes Wednesday with singles action in the Serena Williams Group. Madison Keys of the United States faces Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina, followed by Poland’s Iga Swiatek against Amanda Anisimova of the United States.


Doubles fixtures in the Martina Navratilova Group will feature Italy’s Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini against Elise Mertens of Belgium and Veronika Kudermetova of Russia, followed by Su-Wei Hsieh of Taiwan and Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia against Asia Muhammad of the United States and Demi Schuurs of the Netherlands.
