Worshippers gather at Grand Mosque in Mecca for final nights of Ramadan prayers

RIYADH, March 19, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Large numbers of worshippers gathered at the Grand Mosque in Mecca on the night marking the end of Ramadan, performing late-night prayers in one of the busiest periods of the holy month.


The mosque’s courtyards and prayer areas were filled with visitors who arrived early to take part in Tahajjud prayers during the final nights.


Authorities implemented crowd management measures and operational plans to facilitate the movement of worshippers and ensure safety across the site.


Services included continuous cleaning operations, provision of Zamzam water, and the operation of cooling and lighting systems throughout the Grand Mosque.


Field teams were deployed to assist worshippers and manage entry and exit flows.


The final nights of Ramadan represent one of the peak periods for attendance at the Grand Mosque, drawing visitors from across the world.
