World Bank Commends Saudi AI Sandbox As Model For Responsible AI In Education

RIYADH, July 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - The World Bank has commended Saudi Arabia’s AI Sandbox, a digital education testing environment launched by the National eLearning Center, recognizing it as a national model for the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in education.
In a report on the initiative, the World Bank said the Saudi experience offers a comprehensive framework that combines experimentation, governance, capacity building and coordination across the innovation ecosystem.
The report said the initiative goes beyond developing technological solutions by providing a national platform where educational institutions, universities, private-sector organizations and innovators can develop and test AI applications in realistic and secure learning environments.
The approach supports the responsible use of emerging technologies while helping improve the quality of digital education, the report said.
The World Bank said the Saudi model is built on collaboration among national entities, evidence-based knowledge generation, strategic partnerships and scalable practices. It said the experience could serve as a reference for other countries and education systems seeking to advance their digital education ecosystems.
The report said the Saudi experience provides a practical framework for developing sustainable, high-quality digital education through an integrated national system that connects policy, implementation and measurable impact.
