RIYADH, August 27 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Military working dogs serving with American forces across the Middle East were the focus of a National Dog Day post published by the United States Central Command on Wednesday.


“Military working dogs serve alongside US forces throughout the Middle East performing a variety of critical missions. These four-legged fighters are trusted teammates in helping protect American service members from threats,” CENTCOM said.


The command also released a video featuring the dogs operating with United States personnel at locations across the region. Their duties include explosives detection, patrol operations, search missions and force protection.


The post marked National Dog Day, observed annually on August 26. The command did not identify the locations or operations shown in the video.
