Salalah, September 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks on Thursday with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments, during a fraternal visit to the Sultanate.

The meeting, held at Al Hosn Palace in Salalah, reflected the close ties between the two Gulf states. The leaders reviewed progress in political, economic, social, and cultural cooperation and pledged to further strengthen relations to serve mutual interests and the aspirations of their peoples.

Both expressed full solidarity with Qatar and support for steps it may take to safeguard its security and sovereignty.

Talks also covered the progress of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) initiatives. Sheikh Mohamed and Sultan Haitham reiterated their commitment to advancing GCC integration, deepening cooperation among member states, and fulfilling the aspirations of Gulf citizens for development and prosperity.

Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the depth of UAE-Oman ties, noting that the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said laid the foundations of the relationship, which continues to serve as a model of cooperation and mutual respect.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan. From Oman, attendees included Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; and Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said.

Sheikh Mohamed later departed Oman from Salalah, where he was seen off by Sultan Haitham and senior officials at the Royal Airport.
