UAE intercepts new wave of Iranian missiles and drones, WAM reports; Bahrain issues guidance after all-clear

Riyadh, February 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The United Arab Emirates’ state news agency WAM reported the defence ministry as saying it intercepted a new wave of Iranian missiles and drones.
State media earlier reported that one person had been killed in Abu Dhabi.
In Bahrain, the interior ministry said the all-clear siren sounded throughout the country and asked residents not to go out unless necessary until authorities have completed procedures.
Bahrain earlier confirmed an attack inside its territory and said a service centre of the U.S. Fifth Fleet had been struck.
Several Gulf Arab states have said they were targeted by Iranian missiles.
