UAE intercepts 15 ballistic missiles, 11 drones launched from Iran

Riyadh, March 26, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The United Arab Emirates intercepted 15 ballistic missiles and 11 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran on Thursday, the Ministry of Defence said.
The ministry said that since the start of what it described as the Iranian attacks, UAE air defences had intercepted 372 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,826 drones.
The attacks have resulted in the deaths of two members of the armed forces while performing their duties, as well as a Moroccan civilian contracted by the armed forces, the ministry said.
It added that eight other people of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian and Indian nationalities were also killed.
A total of 169 people were injured, with cases ranging from minor to severe, according to the ministry.
The ministry said it remained fully prepared to deal with any threats and would firmly confront anything aimed at undermining the country’s security, sovereignty and stability.
