UAE Condemns Houthi Threats Against Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms Full Solidarity

ABU DHABI, July 22, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned statements made by Yemen’s Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia, including threats to restrict maritime navigation.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to ensure the implementation of relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The ministry specifically cited Resolution 2216 concerning Yemen and Resolution 2722 on the protection of navigational rights and freedoms in the Red Sea.
It emphasized that freedom of navigation in international waterways is a right guaranteed under international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
The ministry reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom to safeguard its security.
