UAE Calls for Immediate End to Regional Hostilities and Return to Negotiations

ABU DHABI, July 19, Saudi Arabia Breaking News — The United Arab Emirates expressed deep concern on Sunday over the latest regional developments and called for an immediate halt to hostilities, maximum restraint and a swift return to negotiations.

The UAE warned against allowing the escalation to pull the region into further violence and instability, saying restraint was necessary to prevent dangerous repercussions.

It also stressed the importance of maintaining safe and uninterrupted navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, describing the waterway as vital to the global economy.

The UAE strongly rejected attacks on civilian infrastructure and facilities, including schools, universities, hospitals, desalination plants, energy installations, transport hubs and residential areas.

Such attacks constitute a “flagrant and grave violation” of established international law and cannot be accepted or justified under any circumstances, the UAE said.
