UAE approves Lipfendra for adults with high LDL cholesterol

ABU DHABI, August 1 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Emirates Drug Establishment approved Lipfendra for treating adults with elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, including certain inherited conditions.
The UAE became the second country to authorise the medicine.
Lipfendra is an oral treatment taken once daily as part of a plan determined by a healthcare professional. It is used alongside a balanced diet and regular physical activity to lower LDL cholesterol.
The approval provides an additional option for adults who require medical treatment beyond lifestyle changes.
The Emirates Drug Establishment advised people with high cholesterol to consult a healthcare professional before choosing treatment and to maintain a healthy diet and regular physical activity.
