UAE Announces US$10 Million Emergency Aid for Colombia Earthquake Victims

ABU DHABI, August 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The United Arab Emirates announced a US$10 million emergency humanitarian response for communities affected by the earthquake in Colombia, acting under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The UAE Aid Agency is coordinating the delivery of medical supplies, food and shelter materials with Colombian authorities and international partners. Relief will be directed according to conditions on the ground and the priorities of the worst-affected areas.
Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, said teams were working to accelerate the delivery of assistance, alleviate suffering and support early recovery in affected communities.
The earthquake caused deaths, injuries and extensive material damage. The UAE expressed solidarity with Colombia, offered condolences to the victims’ families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
