UAE air defences intercept 4 ballistic missiles, 25 drones on Sunday



RIYADH, March 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - UAE air defences intercepted four ballistic missiles and 25 drones launched from Iran on Sunday, the Ministry of Defence said.


Since the start of what the ministry described as Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 345 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,773 drones.


The attacks have killed two members of the armed forces while performing their national duty, as well as six other people of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi and Palestinian nationalities, the ministry said.


A total of 160 people were injured, with injuries ranging from minor to severe.


The injured included UAE citizens and nationals from multiple countries, the ministry said.


The ministry said it remained prepared to respond to any threats and would act to protect the country's sovereignty, security and stability.
