Two Mongolian Saker Falcons Sell for SAR476,000 at Saudi Falcons Exhibition

RIYADH, Oct 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Two Saker falcons were sold for a combined SAR476,000 on Tuesday during the third night of the Mongolian Falcon Auction at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026.
The auction opened with an adult Saker falcon, or qarnas, which sold for SAR116,000.
A juvenile Saker, or farkh, was then offered with bidding starting at SAR100,000 before selling for SAR360,000.
For the second consecutive year, the exhibition has dedicated an area to Mongolian falcons, reflecting interest among falconers in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
The section includes several falcons from Mongolia, particularly the Mongolian Saker, which is known for its large size, long wingspan, endurance and plumage ranging from light shades to dark brown.
The auction allows falconers to view the birds and bid on them directly.
The presence of Mongolian falcons at the exhibition also forms part of its international participation and reflects interest in falconry across different cultures and regions.
