Two Holy Mosques receive more than 68.7 million worshippers and visitors in Jumada Al Akhira

MAKKAH, December 25 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The total number of worshippers and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during Jumada Al Akhira 1447 AH reached 68,741,853, according to data released by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The authority said that worshippers at the Grand Mosque numbered 30,016,073 during the month, including 94,776 worshippers in Hijr Ismail (Al-Hateem). The number of Umrah performers reached 11,863,477.

At the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, the number of worshippers reached 23,116,271, including 1,319,653 worshippers who visited Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa. The figures also showed that 2,331,603 visitors greeted the Prophet Muhammad and his two companions during the same period.

The authority said it relies on advanced sensor technology to monitor the number of worshippers and visitors at the main entrances of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

Officials said the system supports crowd management and operational efficiency by enabling relevant authorities to monitor flows and manage crowds in coordination with associated entities.
