ANKARA, March 27, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Friday that he would meet with his Saudi, Egyptian and Pakistani counterparts in Pakistan over the weekend to discuss the war in Iran.
Speaking in an interview with private broadcaster A Haber, Fidan said telephone diplomacy was continuing and described the current period as difficult and painful.
He also said Turkey was working to prevent mistrust from deepening between Iran and its Gulf neighbours, which have come under attack from Tehran.
“That’s exactly the scenario Israel wants, for the Muslim countries engaging in a long-term regional war,” Fidan said.
