Riyadh, March 19, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – U.S. President Donald Trump said Israel would make no further attacks on Iran’s South Pars gas field and warned that the United States would retaliate if Iran strikes Qatar’s energy infrastructure again.
Trump made the remarks in a social media post on Wednesday night, as Iranian missile attacks targeted Qatar and heightened tensions across global energy markets.
He said Iran “did not know” that Qatar “was in no way, shape, or form, involved” in the earlier attacks on the South Pars gas field.
Trump warned that any further Iranian strikes on Qatar’s liquefied natural gas facilities would trigger a strong U.S. response.
“I do not want to authorize this level of violence and destruction because of the long term implications that it will have on the future of Iran,” he said.
He added that he would “not hesitate” to act if such attacks were repeated.
The comments come amid escalating strikes on energy infrastructure across the region, including damage reported at Qatar’s Ras Laffan Industrial City, a key global liquefied natural gas hub.
