WASHINGTON, May 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – U.S. President Donald Trump warned Iran on Wednesday that bombing would resume at a higher level of intensity if Tehran does not agree to a proposed deal, CNN reported.
Trump said in a Truth Social post that if Iran agrees to the terms, the U.S. military operation known as Epic Fury would end and the blockade would allow the Strait of Hormuz to be open to all, including Iran.
“If they don’t agree, the bombing starts,” Trump wrote, adding that it would be at a “much higher level and intensity than it was before.”
Trump left open the possibility of an agreement, while saying it may be a “big assumption” that the two sides can reach one.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told reporters on Tuesday that Operation Epic Fury was already over. “The operation is over,” Rubio said, according to CNN
