PARIS, June 16 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - U.S. President Donald Trump said he would send the eventual text of his agreement with Iran to Congress for review, CNN reported.
Trump told reporters at the Group of Seven summit in France that he had not originally considered sending the agreement to Congress but would do so.
“I will send it to Congress,” Trump said.
Senator Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally, wrote on Sunday that any nuclear deal with Iran must be sent to Congress for review and a vote under U.S. law.
Graham referred to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015, which requires congressional review of any agreement involving the United States and related to Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump made the remarks while sitting next to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
