Trump Says Russia May Be Helping Iran “a Little Bit”

Washington, March 13 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that he believes Vladimir Putin may be providing limited assistance to Iran, while suggesting Moscow could view U.S. support for Ukraine in a similar way.

Speaking in an interview with Fox News Radio, Trump said Russia might be helping Iran “a little bit,” adding that Moscow likely considers U.S. support for Ukraine as a comparable situation.

“I think he might be helping him a little bit, yeah, I guess,” Trump said, referring to Putin. “And he probably thinks we’re helping Ukraine, right?”

Trump said the United States is supporting Ukraine, adding that other countries such as China may see the situation in similar terms.

Last week, CNN reported that Russia has been providing Iran with intelligence about the locations and movements of American troops, ships and aircraft, citing people familiar with U.S. intelligence reporting.

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said during a Pentagon briefing last week that Russia and China are “not really a factor” in the conflict involving Iran.

Trump also said the United States does not require assistance with drone defense, after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv would provide support to Washington if requested in dealing with Iranian drones in the Middle East.
