Washington, February 21, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – President Donald Trump said on Saturday he will raise the temporary global tariff rate on imported goods from 10% to 15% after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against tariffs imposed under an economic emergency law.
Trump had earlier announced a 10% global tariff after the court deemed his administration’s reciprocal tariffs illegal. In a 6–3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled Trump overstepped his legal authority by imposing broad tariffs without clear approval from Congress.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticised the ruling and said the increase to a 15% worldwide tariff would take effect immediately.
