Trump Criticizes Iran Over Reported Deal Terms and Strait of Hormuz Attacks

RIYADH, June 12 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - U.S. President Donald Trump criticized Iran on Friday over what he described as inaccurate accounts of a proposed agreement, a day after declaring that a deal with Tehran was close to being finalized.

“The terms that Iran leaked out to the Fake News have NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump accused Tehran of misrepresenting the proposal and questioned its good faith in negotiations.

Iranian state media had earlier reported details of the proposed deal, including that Iran would not cede management of the Strait of Hormuz and that the agreement would require the release of $24 billion in frozen Iranian funds.

Trump also called Iran’s continued targeting of ships in the Strait of Hormuz “totally unacceptable.”

“They better get their act together, and FAST!” he wrote.
