Trump calls Khamenei’s death “greatest chance” for Iranians, says some forces seeking immunity

Riyadh, February 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Donald Trump said in a post on Truth Social that Ali Khamenei had died, calling it the “single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their country.”
Trump also said some people in Iran were “looking for” immunity.
“We are hearing that many of their IRGC (Revolutionary Guards), Military, and other Security and Police forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us,” Trump wrote.
