Thunderstorms and Flash Floods Forecast Across Six Saudi Regions

RIYADH, September 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Light to moderate thunderstorms bringing flash floods and gusty winds that raise dust are forecast in parts of six Saudi regions, the National Center for Meteorology said.
The forecast covers Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah and Madinah. Dust-stirring winds are also expected in northern parts of Eastern Region and parts of Tabuk and Riyadh.
Fog may form overnight and in the early morning along the Red Sea and Arabian Gulf coasts.
Over the Red Sea, northwesterly to westerly winds are forecast at 20–40 km/h, with southwesterly to northwesterly winds at 10–35 km/h. Speeds may exceed 50 km/h with thunderclouds. Waves will range from half a metre to more than two metres, with sea conditions described as calm to moderate.
In the Arabian Gulf, southwesterly to northwesterly winds will reach 10–30 km/h. The sea will be calm, with waves between half a metre and one metre.
