Riyadh, September 19, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Thadiq, the regional capital of Al-Mahmal, is recognized for its historical role in supporting King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud during the unification of the Kingdom.

Founded in 1079 AH, the city lies 165 kilometers northwest of Riyadh and is bordered by the governorates of Al-Majmaah, Rumah, Huraymila, Shaqra, and Marat.

Thadiq forms part of the North Riyadh UNESCO Global Geopark, highlighting its geological and cultural significance. The city also contains archaeological sites that reflect its history and its status as a cultural and tourist destination in the region.
