Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa receives Saudi Culture Minister Prince Bader bin Abdullah in Damascus

DAMASCUS, February 6, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met Saudi Minister of Culture Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan at the Conference Palace in Damascus on Thursday, on the sidelines of the opening of the Damascus International Book Fair 2026, where Saudi Arabia is the guest of honor.

Prince Bader conveyed greetings from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Syria and its people. He also congratulated the Syrian leadership on hosting the fair.

The meeting underscored the depth of ties between the two countries and the importance of strengthening cultural cooperation. Saudi Royal Court Advisor Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri and other officials attended on the Saudi side.
