Slovenian Breeding Farm Debuts at International Falcon Breeders Auction
RIYADH, August 14 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — A Slovenian breeding farm has made its first appearance at the International Falcon Breeders Auction 2026, presenting Pure Gyr and Mathlouth Gyr falcons in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The National Center for Falcons is organizing the auction at its headquarters, bringing Saudi and international breeders together with producers, falconers and enthusiasts. The event remains open daily through August 25.
Abdullah Al-Buainain, owner of the participating Slovenian farm, said presenting different breeding lines in one venue gives local producers an opportunity to place their work alongside international production.
The range available at the auction also allows breeders and buyers to compare falcons from different farms and assess their respective production levels, according to Al-Buainain.
He said competition encourages farms to continue developing their falcons, particularly when buyers have access to a broader selection of breeding lines and production methods.
