Sharjah records AED1.049 bln in Kuwaiti real estate investment in 2025

Riyadh, February 3, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department reported Kuwaiti real estate investment of 1.049 billion dirhams ($286 million) in Sharjah in 2025, alongside higher trading activity and a larger investor base.
The figures were released during “UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever” week, highlighting the expansion of Kuwaiti participation in Sharjah’s property market.
Kuwaiti nationals owned 5,660 properties in Sharjah, and Kuwaiti developers accounted for 13 real estate development projects, according to the data.
Trading activity by Kuwaiti investors reached 868 properties in 2025, up 51.7% from 573 in 2024. The number of Kuwaiti investors rose to 811 in 2025, a 38.2% increase from 587 a year earlier.
Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, director-general of the department, linked the increase in Kuwaiti investment to Sharjah’s investment environment, including legislation, real estate services and infrastructure, and pointed to plans to deepen engagement with investors from Kuwait.
