Sela and Tahaluf Sign 10-Year Agreement for Red Sea Yacht Show in Jeddah

JEDDAH, October 26 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Sela and Tahaluf have signed a 10-year agreement to host the Red Sea Yacht Show in Jeddah, with the inaugural edition scheduled for October 14–17, 2027.

Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz witnessed the signing at Jeddah Yacht Club. Sela is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund.

The show is intended to extend the reach of the Monaco Yacht Show to Saudi Arabia and develop partnerships across the yachting and marine tourism industries. It will form part of the Jeddah Events Calendar.

Organizers aim to attract more than 50 yachts, 150 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors to the first edition, including yacht owners and industry professionals. They project an economic impact exceeding $500 million through yacht sales, charters and luxury tourism.

Sela Managing Director Rakan Al-Harthy said the agreement sought to establish the Red Sea coast as a permanent destination for yachting and marine tourism. He said the event could support hospitality, transport and marine services while creating jobs and training opportunities for Saudis.

Tahaluf Chief Executive Mike Champion said the company would use its international network to attract manufacturers, brands and investors, with the show providing a venue for partnerships and deals.

The event will highlight Saudi Arabia’s $22.4 billion in marine investments and Red Sea developments including Sindalah and AMAALA.

Organizers plan to expand participation across the first three editions. Targets for the second edition include more than 70 yachts, 20,000 visitors and around 200 brands, rising to over 90 yachts, 40,000 visitors and 300 brands in the third.

Economic impact is projected to reach $800 million for the second edition and $1.2 billion for the third.

Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina, the host venue, has 94 berths and can accommodate yachts up to 120 meters long.
