Saudifood exhibitions bring 37 Italian companies to Jeddah
JEDDAH, September 28, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Saudifood Show and Saudifood Manufacturing exhibitions are under way at Jeddah Superdome, with 37 Italian companies taking part, SPA reported. The events bring food products, ingredients and manufacturing technologies together at the same venue in a strategic partnership with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON).
Italy’s Consul General in Jeddah, Marco Bocchi, inaugurated the country’s participation. Seventeen Italian companies are showcasing food and agri-food products, while 20 are presenting technologies and solutions for food manufacturing and packaging.
Italy’s agri-food and beverage exports to Saudi Arabia approached SAR 2.2 billion in the first 11 months of 2025, up 7.7% from the same period a year earlier, according to trade figures cited by SPA. Total trade between the two countries was about SAR 45.3 billion for the full year, including approximately SAR 27.8 billion in Italian exports to Saudi Arabia.
Italian Ambassador Carlo Baldocci said the two countries had opportunities to develop partnerships beyond trade. Bocchi said the exhibitions would introduce visitors to Italian products and regions, while Simona Autuori, director of the Italian Trade Agency office for Riyadh and Kuwait, described Saudi Arabia as a priority market for Italy.
