Saudi, Turkish, Egyptian and other ministers back joining Trump-led “Board of Peace” on Gaza plan

DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 21, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates announced a joint decision to join U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s “Board of Peace,” saying they welcomed an invitation sent to their leaders.

In a joint statement, the ministers said each country will sign the joining documents in line with its national legal and procedural requirements. Egypt, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have already announced plans to join, the statement said.

The ministers reiterated support for the peace effort led by Trump and said they would back the implementation of the Board of Peace’s mission as a transitional administration, as set out in the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” and endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.

They said the mission is aimed at consolidating a permanent ceasefire, supporting Gaza’s reconstruction, and advancing a just and lasting peace grounded in the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood in accordance with international law.
