RIYADH, June 22 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia’s Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority urged business establishments subject to value-added tax with annual goods and service revenues exceeding SAR40 million to file their May 2026 tax returns by June 30.
The authority called on establishments to submit their returns through the ZATCA app before the deadline to avoid late filing penalties.
Failure to file within the specified period carries a fine ranging from 5% to 25% of the value of the tax required to be declared.
ZATCA said taxpayers seeking more information on VAT can contact its unified call center at 19993, the “Ask Zakat, Tax and Customs” account on X at @Zatca_Care, email info@zatca.gov.sa, or use instant chat through the authority’s website.
VAT is applied in Saudi Arabia as an indirect tax on goods and services bought and sold by businesses, with limited exceptions.
