Saudi, Swiss sides hold investment roundtable in Jeddah, sign investment pact

RIYADH, April 24(Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi and Swiss officials reviewed joint investment opportunities and ways to strengthen economic cooperation during the Saudi-Swiss Investment Roundtable Meeting in Jeddah, held during Swiss President Guy Parmelin’s visit to the kingdom.


The meeting brought together Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Investment Minister Fahad Al-Saif, Swiss State Secretary for Economic Affairs Helene Budliger Artieda, and officials and business leaders from both sides.


The talks also covered partnerships in priority sectors aimed at supporting economic growth and strengthening bilateral relations as the two countries mark 70 years of diplomatic ties.


At the end of the meeting, Saudi Arabia and Switzerland signed an agreement on the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments.


The accord was signed by Saudi Investment Minister Fahad Al-Saif and Swiss President Guy Parmelin, and is aimed at strengthening and stabilising the investment environment, protecting investors’ rights and supporting mutual investment flows.
