Saudi Summer Program Attracts 32 Million Tourists, Spending Reaches SAR53.2 Billion

Riyadh, September 11, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s “Saudi Summer” program recorded more than 32 million domestic and international tourists, a 26% increase compared with summer 2024, the Ministry of Tourism announced on Thursday.

Tourist spending reached SAR53.2 billion, up 15% year-on-year, with Aseer Region seeing a 49% rise in arrivals from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The ministry said the results reflect efforts to promote Saudi Arabia as a global tourism destination under Vision 2030, including the creation of new tourism products, hosting international cultural and entertainment events, and improving service quality.

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb launched the program in June under the theme “Color Your Summer”, highlighting six destinations, from Red Sea coastal escapes in Jeddah to mountainous retreats in Taif, Al-Baha, and Aseer. Major attractions included the Esports World Cup and the Jeddah and Aseer Seasons.

The ministry said preparations are already underway for the Saudi Winter season, which will feature additional international events and expanded tourism offerings.
