Saudi Red Sea Authority Launches Campaign on Coastal Tourism Rules
RIYADH, September 3 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) has launched its “Deeper Than It Seems” campaign to explain the rules, licenses and permits covering maritime tourism along the Red Sea coast.
The campaign also explains that compliance checks continue after a license is issued. SRSA conducts visits to marinas, vessels and marine activity sites to check that operators follow their license terms.
The authority regulates cruises, marinas, yachts, boats, beaches and other maritime activities. Requirements vary depending on the type of activity and its level of risk.
SRSA said the rules are designed to protect visitors, maintain service quality and limit damage to marine habitats and coral reefs.
The campaign also highlights how clear licensing procedures and stable rules can support investment in coastal tourism projects.
The initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030 goals related to tourism, economic diversification and the protection of natural resources.
