Saudi Real GDP Grows 3.0% in First Quarter of 2026

RIYADH, June 9 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Arabia’s real gross domestic product grew 3.0% in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, supported by growth in oil and non-oil activities.


Oil activities and non-oil activities each expanded by 2.9% year on year.


Government activities grew by 1.5%.


Compared with the fourth quarter of 2025, seasonally adjusted real GDP declined by 1.2%.


Non-oil activities were the largest contributor to annual real GDP growth in the first quarter, adding 1.7 percentage points, according to the General Authority for Statistics GDP bulletin.


Oil activities contributed 0.8 percentage points.


Government activities and net taxes on products contributed 0.3 and 0.2 percentage points, respectively.


All economic activities recorded positive year-on-year growth.


Financial, insurance and business services recorded the strongest performance, growing by 5.4%.


Manufacturing activities, excluding oil refining, expanded by 4.0%.
