Saudi organisers say stadiums in Riyadh and Jeddah ready for AFC U23 Asian Cup 2026

Riyadh, January 6, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™ said it has completed readiness preparations for the stadiums set to host the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026™ matches in Riyadh and Jeddah, ahead of the tournament the Kingdom will host from January 6 to 24, with 16 Asian national teams taking part.
The committee said readiness preparations covered four stadiums: Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium and Al-Shabab Club Stadium in Riyadh, as well as Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium and the Secondary Stadium at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.
All technical and operational work has been completed in line with requirements and standards approved by the Asian Football Confederation, the committee said.
The committee said the completion of stadium readiness reflects the development of Saudi Arabia’s sports infrastructure and forms part of the preparation pathway for hosting the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™.
