Saudi non-oil exports rise 7.4% in December as re-exports jump

Riyadh, February 26, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports, including re-exports, rose 7.4% in December 2025 from a year earlier, driven by a 43.1% jump in re-exports, according to the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) International Trade in Goods bulletin for December 2025.
National non-oil exports fell 8.5% over the same period.
Total merchandise exports rose 3.0% in December from a year earlier, while oil exports increased 1.0%. Oil exports accounted for 67.4% of total exports in December 2025, down from 68.7% a year earlier.
Imports rose 2.4% in December, while the trade surplus expanded 7.1% from December 2024.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, non-oil exports including re-exports rose 18.6% from a year earlier. National non-oil exports slipped 1.5%, while re-exports climbed 67.4%.
Over the same quarter, total merchandise exports increased 7.9% and oil exports rose 3.5%. Oil exports accounted for 67.5% of total exports, down from 70.4% a year earlier. Imports rose 4.7%, and the trade surplus expanded 26.3%.
Japan was the top destination for Saudi merchandise exports in December 2025, accounting for 11.7% of total exports, while China was the largest import partner at 28.7%, according to the data. In the fourth quarter, China ranked first among export partners at 13.1% and remained the top import partner at 27.2%.
The statistics are compiled from administrative records provided by relevant authorities, including the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) for non-petroleum data and the Ministry of Energy for petroleum data, according to the bulletin.
