Buraidah, Sept 2 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Museums Commission has launched the first phase of the mobile interactive exhibition “Our Saudi Story: A Window into Museums,” described as the first of its kind in the Kingdom to present regional museum collections through modern technology.

The exhibition opened in Buraidah, Qassim Region, on Monday, coinciding with the Buraidah Dates Carnival, and will run until September 13. It offers visitors a sensory, visual, and auditory experience, with eleven artifacts from Saudi museums digitally reimagined through motion design and sound effects in an interactive format.

The initiative represents the brand identity of a network of 11 regional museums being developed in phases by the Museums Commission. Each museum will present a distinct narrative within an overarching story of Saudi cultural and civilizational heritage.

The Commission said the exhibition is part of its efforts to deliver modern cultural experiences that raise awareness of heritage, demonstrating how technology can preserve national identity and present it in new ways to future generations. Admission has been made free of charge to encourage public participation.

The exhibition coincides with the Buraidah Dates Carnival, recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s largest date festival, providing a setting that connects culture with agricultural heritage and underlines Qassim’s role as a region rich in popular traditions
