Riyadh, February 9, 2026 (SABN) – The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt and Türkiye issued a joint statement condemning what they described as illegal Israeli decisions and measures aimed at imposing sovereignty and entrenching settlement activity in the occupied West Bank.

The ministers rejected attempts to create what they described as a new legal and administrative reality in the territory and warned against policies they said were accelerating attempts at annexation and the displacement of Palestinians. The statement reiterated that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territory.

The ministers said the measures were a violation of international law, undermined the two-state solution and the right of Palestinians to establish an independent state on the June 4, 1967 lines with occupied Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement also described the measures as null and void and referenced United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, as well as the 2024 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which found Israel’s policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territory and its continued presence to be illegal.

The ministers called on the international community to act to halt what they described as escalation in the occupied West Bank and said a two-state solution, in line with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, remained the only path to a just and comprehensive peace.
