RIYADH, July 1 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) - Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced the dismantling of a criminal network involved in drug smuggling and trafficking in Riyadh Region.


The ministry said security authorities arrested 22 suspects, including 19 Saudi citizens.


One of the Saudi suspects is an employee of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, the ministry said.


The suspects also included an Ethiopian national in violation of the Border Security Law, a Moroccan female resident and a Yemeni male resident.


Legal procedures were taken against the suspects, who were referred to the Public Prosecution.


The Ministry of Interior said security authorities would continue confronting attempts to target the Kingdom and its youth through narcotics.
