Saudi Informatics Team Wins Six Awards at Balkan Olympiad in Italy

Riyadh, October 1, 2025 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – The Saudi informatics team won six awards at the 32nd Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI 2025), held in Udine, Italy, from September 25 to October 1. The competition brought together 65 students from 17 countries.
The Saudi team’s achievements included four bronze medals and two certificates of appreciation. Officials noted that this marks the Kingdom’s third participation in the Balkan Olympiad.
The achievement comes under the Mawhiba International Olympiad Program, run by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education.
With this success, Saudi Arabia’s cumulative results at the competition have reached 13 international awards, comprising six bronze medals and seven certificates of appreciation.
