Saudi industrial production index rises 8.9% in December, boosted by mining and manufacturing

Riyadh, February 10 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s industrial production index rose 8.9% year-on-year in December 2025, supported by higher activity in mining and quarrying, manufacturing, water supply and sewerage, and waste management and remediation, data from the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.
The mining and quarrying sub-index recorded a 13.2% annual increase, while manufacturing rose 3.2%.
Water supply, sewerage and waste management and remediation activities increased 9.4%.
The oil activities index rose 10.1% year-on-year, while the non-oil activities index increased 5.8%.
