Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Jordan’s Ayman Safadi Discuss Regional Developments

AMMAN, Oct 6 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed regional developments and efforts to end the current escalation during a phone call on Tuesday.
According to Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the two ministers reviewed efforts aimed at ending what it described as the dangerous escalation in the region and establishing permanent security and stability.
Both sides expressed support for those efforts, the ministry said.
During the call, Safadi affirmed Jordan’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia in confronting attacks by the Houthi group and reiterated support for measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security, stability, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens.
Safadi also renewed Jordan’s condemnation of Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, including attempts to target Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Madinah, as well as attacks on civilian and economic facilities.
He reaffirmed Jordan’s support for Yemeni legitimacy and emphasized the need to resolve the Yemeni crisis in a way that restores security and stability while protecting Yemen’s unity, sovereignty and resources.
Safadi said any settlement should meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people in accordance with approved references.
