Saudi Foreign Minister Holds Series of Meetings and Calls on Regional Developments

RIYADH, March 17, 2026 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) – Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a series of meetings and phone calls with regional and international counterparts to discuss the latest developments in the region and efforts to reduce tensions.


Prince Faisal received Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty at the ministry headquarters in Riyadh, where the two officials reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.


The ministers also discussed efforts aimed at reducing regional escalation and restoring security and stability, while condemning what they described as continued Iranian attacks against Saudi Arabia and several Arab countries.


Separately, Prince Faisal held a phone call with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, during which they discussed ongoing regional developments and ways to strengthen regional security and stability.


The Saudi foreign minister also received a phone call from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković, during which the two officials reviewed the latest developments in the region and related diplomatic efforts.


In another call, Prince Faisal spoke with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Mohammed Hussein, with discussions focusing on regional developments and the need to intensify efforts to support stability and security.


The Saudi foreign minister also held a phone call with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss the latest regional developments and their implications.


In a separate call, Prince Faisal spoke with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, with the two sides reviewing current developments and ongoing coordination between the two countries.
