RIYADH, July 29 (Saudi Arabia Breaking News) — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate phone calls with officials from Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain to discuss regional developments and efforts to ease tensions.


Prince Faisal spoke with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.


The officials stressed the need to safeguard freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait to limit the security and economic impact of the crisis.


They also renewed their condemnation of attacks attributed to Iran and affiliated militias in Iraq and Yemen and reaffirmed their solidarity against threats to regional security and stability.


The officials called for continued coordination and consultation and stronger cooperation within the Gulf Cooperation Council.
